Thomas GIBSON Sr was born about 1770 in North Carolina. He died Jan 1830 in Washington Co. Tennessee. Thomas married Mary WHITE.

I Thomas Gibson of Washington County State of Tennnessee no by these present to revoke and disavow all former wills or writings concerning my wordly affairs and to make this my last will and testament in law and equity.

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Polly Gibson all my real aforesaid estate during her widowhood that to aid her in raising and supporting our children. But providing she should marry her limits is the Cherry Orchard buildings up the valley to the woodland during her natual life and at my wife's death which movable property she has then of mine on hand to be ___ and equally divided amongst our children.

1 Item. My real estate which is one hundred forty six acres of land. I give and bequeath at her death to two of my sons namely Thomas Gibson and Daniel Gibson by paying to the balance of their brothers in taking the sum of thirty dollars in trade as soon as the land falls into their hands of any said sons to cash of the above sons to be well and truly paid as they come of age and my further will is that my beloved wife Polly Gibson and my son Thomas Gibson shall execute this my last will and testament and in testimony of the same. I hereunto lift my hand and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine.

Signed and sealed in the presence of us: John Chester, John Fulkinson, Josiah Wood The foregoing was proven in open court by the author of John Fulkinson and Josiah Wood two of the subscribing witness thereto at January 1830 of ___ to be recorded. Mary Gibson qualified as executrix to the foregoing will of your bond and security as the law directs.
