Sir Robert Howard was the son of John Howard and Alice de Boys. He was married
to Margery Scales, daughter of Robert, Lord Scales. They had a son by the name
of Sir John, who married Margaret, daughter of Sir John Plaiz, and no sons
survived, he married for his second wife, Alice, daughter of Sir William
Tendring.
